Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of the Streamzo media-player application, website and related Streamzo-controlled services.

1. Streamzo Is a Media Player Only

Streamzo is an independent media player. Streamzo does not provide, sell, license, host, upload, distribute, retransmit, curate or supply television channels, movies, television programs, streaming packages, playlists, subscriptions or other third-party media content to users.

2. How Streamzo Works

Streamzo may generate a MAC address within the application for connection and device-configuration purposes. A user may use this MAC address with a compatible service the user independently chooses and is authorized to access. The user may then enter the applicable host or connection information into Streamzo.

Streamzo does not select the user's service, obtain it on the user's behalf, or provide the user's third-party host or connection credentials.

Streamzo does not offer a web-based media player or server-side media-relay service. For normal user-configured connections, media playback is between the user's device and the service selected by the user; Streamzo does not act as the media host, restreamer or relay.

3. User-Provided Connections

Any host, service, server or connection configured by a user is independently obtained by that user. Users are responsible for ensuring they are permitted to use the service and have authorization to access its media.

4. Legal and Authorized Use Only

Streamzo does not allow, endorse, encourage or support illegal or unauthorized streaming.

Users must not knowingly access, stream, reproduce, display, distribute or facilitate access to protected media without the necessary authorization, licence, permission or legal right.

5. Connection Acknowledgement

When adding or connecting a host, Streamzo may require the user to confirm that Streamzo is a media player only, the connection was obtained independently, the user is authorized to use it, and the player will not be used for illegal or unauthorized streaming.

6. No Third-Party Content Supplied by Streamzo

Streamzo does not maintain a catalogue of commercial channels, movies, television programs, sports programming or other third-party entertainment content for users.

7. No Provider Recommendation or Endorsement

Streamzo does not recommend, rank, certify, advertise or endorse third-party media providers or hosts for users. Technical compatibility does not constitute approval or verification.

8. Prohibited Uses

• Copyright or other intellectual-property infringement.
• Illegal or unauthorized streaming.
• Accessing services without permission.
• Circumventing DRM, authentication, access controls or technological protection measures.
• Unauthorized retransmission or distribution.
• Interference with Streamzo security or systems.

Authorized Use and Content Rights

Streamzo may be used only with services and media that the user is authorized to access. Users must ensure that their use of any connected service and media complies with applicable copyright, intellectual-property, contractual, access-control and other legal requirements.

Installation, availability or use of Streamzo does not grant, transfer or imply any license or right to access, receive, reproduce, retransmit, distribute or otherwise use third-party media.

Technical compatibility between Streamzo and a service, host, portal, protocol or media format does not constitute authorization, approval, licensing, endorsement or affiliation.

Prohibited Uses

Streamzo must not be used to:

• access media or services the user is not authorized to access;
• infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights;
• circumvent DRM, encryption, authentication, access controls or other technological protection measures;
• obtain unauthorized access to a service, account, server or system;
• use stolen, compromised, shared-without-permission or otherwise unauthorized credentials;
• record, download, extract, copy, convert, retransmit, redistribute or commercially exploit third-party media without authorization; or
• use Streamzo in connection with unlawful or unauthorized streaming or content-distribution activity.

No Download, Recording or Conversion

Streamzo is designed as a media-playback application. It does not include user-facing functionality intended to download, save, record, rip, extract, convert or redistribute third-party media.

Users must not combine Streamzo with other tools, services or techniques for unauthorized copying, extraction, conversion, retransmission or redistribution of protected media.

Third-Party Compatibility and Enforcement

Streamzo does not guarantee that any particular independently operated service, host, portal or media source will be compatible with or remain accessible through Streamzo.

Compatibility may change or be restricted for technical, security, legal, intellectual-property, policy or compliance reasons.

Where technically feasible and appropriate, Streamzo may restrict or disable compatibility with a service or connection that Streamzo reasonably believes is being used for infringement, unlawful distribution, circumvention, abuse or other unauthorized activity, including following a credible notice from a rights holder or competent authority.

Such action does not mean that Streamzo monitors, approves or verifies third-party services generally.

9. Testing, Certification and App Review

Streamzo may be evaluated for internal testing, quality assurance, device certification, or App Store review.

Streamzo does not provide third-party media-service credentials, portal addresses, subscriptions, channel packages, provider accounts, or third-party media content for application testing or review.

Reviewers may evaluate Streamzo using a compatible service or testing environment that they are independently authorized to access.

Technical compatibility between Streamzo and an independently operated third-party service does not establish ownership, affiliation, endorsement, partnership, licensing, or authorization between Streamzo and that service.

Streamzo does not claim ownership or control of independently operated third-party services that may be technically compatible with the player.

10. Intellectual Property

Streamzo software, branding, interface, website and materials owned by Streamzo or its licensors are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party media and marks accessed through independently configured services remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Third-Party Services

Streamzo does not control independently operated third-party services configured by users and does not guarantee their legality, availability, security, quality or licensing status.

12. Reporting Intellectual-Property Concerns

Rights holders or authorized representatives may contact legal@streamzo.app regarding potential infringement involving Streamzo-controlled services or materials.

13. Suspension or Termination

Streamzo may restrict or terminate access to Streamzo-controlled services where reasonably necessary to address violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, infringement, security threats or abuse.

14. Availability and Compatibility

Streamzo does not guarantee compatibility with every host, service, device, media format or connection.

15. Privacy

Use of Streamzo is also subject to the Streamzo Privacy Policy.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Streamzo is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Streamzo and its operator are not responsible for losses resulting from independently operated services, unauthorized user activity or a user's failure to obtain necessary rights or authorization.

18. Changes

These Terms may be updated periodically. The updated version will include a revised Last Updated date.
